Knox’s Diaconate exists to minister to the concrete needs of those in crisis in our church and in our wider community (social, emotional, physical, financial, and spiritual).

Receive Care: If you or anyone you know within our congregation that needs physical, spiritual, or financial support, please email care@knoxannarbor.org or call the Knox office, and a deacon or member of church staff will be in touch to provide confidential help and support.

Become a Deacon: If you’re interested in serving the congregation and community as a Deacon, we encourage you to join Knox’s Leadership Development Training (LDT) to provide you with theological and practical training and help you discern your call. LDT, our three-term congregational leadership development program, is open to all regular attenders of Knox Presbyterian Church, space available, and is a prerequisite for congregational election to any church office, including that of Deacon. Support: The work of the Diaconate is financially supported through the Deacon fund, which is separate from general giving at Knox. Envelopes to support the Deacon fund can be found in the pews each Sunday, or you can give online to the Deacon Fund.
