Children

We consider children a gift from God and desire to minister to their needs in a loving and thoughtful manner. The Heart of Children's Ministry at Knox Church is:

• To partner with parents to lead children to a relationship with God the Father through faith in His only Son, Jesus Christ.
• To help children grow and mature in their faith as they strengthen relationships within their families and the church family.
• To encourage children to serve others and share their faith with those with whom they have relationships outside the home and the church.

Sunday Mornings at Knox
On Sunday mornings we provide childcare for infants and toddlers from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. At age 15 months we introduce our children to simple Bible songs, learning activities and books. At age three they hear Bible stories and do related crafts and games.

For our PreK - Kindergarten children we offer Children's Worship during the sermon at the 9:00 a.m. worship service. Here children have the opportunity to truly experience worship at their level through creative storytelling and response activities. Children's Worship is also available for first through third grade children. They worship through music, signing, hands-on learning and small group discussion and prayer.

Children are escorted from Children's Worship to their Christian Education classrooms where they will have a snack and fellowship time (free choice games, toys, books) until Christian Education classes begin at 10:45 am Parents are asked to pick up their PreK - 2nd grade children at 10:45 am or 12:00 pm in their classrooms.

Christian Education is offered for all grades from 10:45 am to 12:00 pm. Our 5-6th graders are combined for CE. They have retreats and special events planned throughout the year to initiate the "youth group" experience.

Wednesday Nights at Knox
We offer a ten-week Wednesday night program called Kids' Club from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the fall and winter semesters. This program is for children PreK- 6th grade. Children are divided into three different groups and participate in age-appropriate Bible teaching, small groups, games, skills and crafts.

Look for Children's Choir for ages 3 years -through 2nd grade during our winter semester. Choir will met from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Wednesdays. Children participating in this program sing in the worship service on a regular basis.

Homework & Hangout (H2) will also met from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Wednesdays during the winter semester.
